RockyMntK9 has several differant types of working dogs including:

  • SERVICE DOGS FOR THE DISABLED preform tasks that might be challenging to a disabled person, or alerting to certain medical conditions.
  • THERAPY DOGS Visit hospitols, nursing homes, and therapy units to give support and individualized attention. (Helps enlighten the spirit of someone in a not so great condition.)
  • PERSONAL PROTECTION DOGS Trained to apprehend an intruder on command and protect handler. ( these dogs are well socialized and are highly trained in obedience and bitework. These dogs are safe even in the most bizarre situations.)
  • OBEDIENCE Is the training of basic-advanced commands developed into a well stable dog that is socialized and well behaved.
  • COMPETITIVE OBEDIENCE
  • AGILITY Training of the dog to go up/down, through, under, and around obstycles.
  • RALLY is a form of obedience directed by signs
  • TRACKING is the training of the dogs scenting skills which are used to find a person and any dropped articles.
  • SEARCH AND RESCUE is the alot like tracking, but dogs are more socialized, well trained in agility and know how to respond to certain situations including loose footing. Most tracking dogs ground scent as a Search and Rescue dog might use both ground scenting, and air scenting.
  • BOMB dogs specifically trained to alet to certain chemicles that are found in bombs by smelling them out.
  • ARSON dogs trained to alert to an arson set fire, by smelling for fuel ingnitions.
  • SCHUTZHUND a sport involving personal protection, tracking, and obedience.
  • PATROL dogs trained to assist the government in personal protection, scent work, obedience, and other tasks. These dogs are highly trained, and very elite in all training.
